Description
Motivated by the persistent tensions associated with the anomalous magnetic moment of charged leptons (muon and electron), we minimally extend the Standard Model via a new light gauge boson ($Z^\prime$) and work under the hypothesis of strictly flavour violating couplings to leptons. Taking into account several flavour observables, we derive stringent constraints on the model's parameter space, and subsequently carry out predictions for several observables. Our findings suggest that the muon can be easily accommodated while the electron and tau anomalous magnetic moments are in general constrained to be Standard Model-like.
