Description
nEXO is a proposed next-generation neutrino experiment to search for lepton-number violating neutrinoless double beta decay of xenon-136, with a half-life sensitivity of $1.35\times 10^{28}$ years. nEXO will deploy 5 tonnes of isotopically enriched liquid xenon in a time-projection chamber and use vacuum ultraviolet (VUV) silicon photomultipliers (SiPMs) to record scintillation light. My poster describes the testing of the SiPMs that are under consideration for use in nEXO. Measurement methods and results focusing on the photon detection efficiency (PDE), correlated avalanches (CA), dark noise (DN) rate and temperature-dependent breakdown voltage of SiPMs will be presented.
