Description
SNEWPY is an open-source software package designed to bridge the large gap between supernova simulations and the corresponding signals in neutrino detectors. It includes data from hundreds of simulations of core-collapse, thermonuclear, and pair-instability supernovae and different flavor transformations that occur between neutrino production and detection.
SNEWPY can be used as a frontend for SNOwGLoBES to easily estimate event rates in different neutrino detectors, or together with an event generator like sntools. Together, SNEWPY and sntools enable a smooth transition from initial estimates to advanced studies that require a full detector simulation.
