Spatial association between radio-selected blazars and ANTARES neutrinos

Description

The recent studies of Plavin et al. (ApJ 894 (2020) 101, ApJ 908 (2021) 157) have
shown interesting evidence for an association between high energy neutrinos detected
by IceCube and radio-selected blazars. The catalog used in these analyses is an all sky
flux-limited complete sample of 3411 blazars selected according to their compact radio
flux density at 8 GHz. A search for a spatial correlation between those blazars and
a selection of neutrino candidates collected by the ANTARES detector over 13 years
is performed. The results of a cross-correlation search and a more refined likelihood
analysis are presented and discussed.
