Poster Astrophysical neutrinos Poster

Description

The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO) is a 20kton liquid scintillator detector, equipping with ~18000 large PMTs and ~26000 small PMTs. JUNO can register large statistics of the next core-collapse supernova (CCSN) neutrinos and also pre-supernova (pre-SN) neutrinos through several interactions, among which inverse beta decay (IBD), elastic scattering on electron (eES) and proton (pES) can provide information of energy spectra of all flavors. Also, the increasing event rate of these interaction channels enables JUNO to give alert on not only the CCSN neutrinos but also pre-SN neutrinos. This poster will mainly cover the under developing CCSN monitoring system and the physics potential of energy spectra reconstruction using large PMTs in JUNO.
