Description
The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO) uses a 20 kton liquid scintillator detector to capture medium-baseline reactor neutrinos to measure the neutrino mass ordering. Event reconstruction is one of the key challenges in reaching the designed energy resolution of 3%/sqrt(E (MeV)). This poster presents a data-driven method to obtain the expected photo-electron distribution of positron events, and a maximum likelihood vertex and energy reconstruction method that combines the charge and time information of PMTs. The energy non-uniformity of this method is less than 0.5% inside fiducial volume and the impact of vertex inaccuracy on the energy resolution is less than 1%.
