Description
This talk is meant to be a gentle overview of recent progress in computational techniques for scattering amplitudes in quantum field theory and their applications. A large portion of the progress occurred over the past two decades, but some of the key ideas have their roots in old days between 1950's and 1990's. The topics to be covered include BCFW recursion relation, scattering equation, color-kinematics duality, poly-logarithm functions and diagrammatic coaction for loop integrals. We assume that the audience is familiar with textbook examples for computing Feynman diagrams. No further background knowledge is required.
